Hi,
I have just started using excel and have made my first real
spreadsheet with 12 separate sheets.
I have managed to automatically transfer results between sheets but I
want to go up a level.
My idea is to allow the user to input a name in one sheet and for this
data to be automatically recognised in a separate sheet and
automatically updated.
Example : sheet 1 is the result sheet
sheet 2 contains 15 "heat results" allowing the user
to input points that are automatically added together and displayed
both in sheet 1 and sheet 2.
Now the hard part:
After the 15 heats the top 8 "scorers" are then put into 2 semi final
heats and this is where I need help.
The user will input or select a "name" in sheet 2 and will add his
"score" in the same sheet and I want these scores to be automatically
added to the correct position in sheet 1.
I hope I have explained it OK and I look forward to any help you can
give.
