Automatically aligning tables with right margin

I have just been forced to upgrade to Word 2000 and I'm struggling to format tables in the same way I could previously. Previously I used to be able to automatically align the end of the last column in a table with the right margin and then select the last few columns in the table and distribute these evenly. I cannot find any way of doing this in Word 2000. Can anyone help?

That should say Windows 2002. I'm so stressed out by the whole thing I can't think straight.

It helps to turn off auto resizing (Table Properties | Table | Options), but

Thanks for this. It certainly helps to turn off auto
resizing and have the Cell Height and Width function back.
However, the table now aligns slightly to the right of the
right margin and I can't work out why.

If you have the default cell padding, tables will always extend slightly
beyond the margins in order to allow the text in the first and last cells to
align with document text. This is desirable if the table is borderless, less
so when you have a border. I find the easiest solution is usually to set the
table alignment to Center and then drag the left and right sides so that it
completely fills the margin width. Note that, if you have any cell margin at
all (or at least if you have a left cell margin on the leftmost cell and a
right margin on the rightmost cell), setting the table width to 100% will
not help.

I've solved it. If you remove the tick from the Preferred width box on the Table tab, the table (and hence the text, as there is no border or cell padding) automatically aligns with the right margin. Dragging the cell border is not a solution as each document has many tables and each one of them needs to be aligned with the others. Thanks for your help anyway.
