Automatically create a site when a project is published

Does anybody know how to create a site automatically when a project has been
published? I have made sure the settings are correct:

Manage WSS > Site Provisioning settings > selected the radio button
"automatically create a team website for the project when a project is
published to server".

Any ideas why this is not happening and I have to do it manually?

Thanks

1) Do you get any error when you first publish the project or nothing happens
at all?? 2) If you create the site manually is it causing any issues??
3) Also did you try creating a project from the server itself ...
4)The url the you have given for connect is it the IP or the name of the
server. Can you access the server with the name and ip both from your machine?

Check these out. I some cases due to network issues you can access the
machine with ip address only and not the same so for e.g. I might be able to
access the server with http://192.168.1.55/projectserver and cannot access it
with http://machine12/projectserver. If that is the case we usually give the
ip as the url to connect to the server using project professional. This
sometimes causes the issue that you talked about.

I guess it has nothing to do with PS setting and more of an issue with WSS
sites due to network issues etc.

Let me know ...

1. I dont get an error at all. I know the project is definitely published to
the server.
2. Does not cause any issues at all.
3. Create project from server? Ive never done that before.

The name and IP seems to be working fine. We have recently moved all the
data to a new server.

I dont really know what the problem is to be honest. Maybe its just a
setting/error on our server. Thanks for trying to help anyways!
