Automatically Delete Sent Items

Is there any way that I can automatically delete the items in my Sent Items
folder when Outlook is closed in the same way that you can automatically set
the Deleted Items folder to empty itself????

I don't think there is such an option, unless you write a plug-in that
attempts to do that. But if you don't need any Sent Items, why not just
uncheck 'Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder' (Tools -> Options
-> tab Preferences -> E-mail Options (Outlook 2003))?
