Automatically draw a network diagram from excel inventory data

I have an excel sheet with: server name, make, model and IP address. I would
like to automatically draw the inventory in visio using VB. I have had no
luck looking at sample code on the web.

Does anyone have a sample program? I would like to use the make and model to
select my shape. This way I can have all my servers on the same vlan connect
to the same device shape in visio
