Automatically go to hyperlink

I'm creating a simple electronic bulletin board using PowerPoint. What I want
to do is insert a slide every so often in the loop that would give the time
and/or temperature. I considered doing it as a hyperlink to a website, but
that involves a mouse click or rollover, and this needs to be completely
automated. Can anyone think of a solution to this? Is there some way to have
a hyperlink or action button automatically activated without user
intervention? Is there some other way to get a full screen time display
within a powerpoint slideshow?
