Automatically insert day with date and time?

In OneNote 2007 is it possible to automatically insert current day into new
notes, in the same place that date and time are inserted?

I seem to think this was possible in 2003.

I keep a journal in OneNote and I have to write the day in manually. I find
that when I review my journal entries, being aware of what day I wrote
provides useful context for my entries.

Thanks

Date and time formats in ON are based on system settings in the Control
Panel.

To add the day to the date format in ON:

Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options

In the Regional Options, click Customize... then the Date tab

ON only uses the short date form as far as I can tell.

So you'll have to change the short date format in the Regional Options to
something like: "ddd d/MM/yyyy" (without the double quotes) where the first
three d's will give you Mon, Tue Wed etc.

"dddd" will give you Monday, Tuesday etc.

Brilliant!!

Thanks John. That's worked perfectly.

I suspect that ON uses the long date format.
