Automatically Leveling Resources

Hello,
Has anyone had good experience with the Leveling tool for resources.
I've heard that it's not simple to apply or understand the results of
leveling in complex projects. Do you have any advice on using leveling?

I'm looking for user friendly and reliable solution to leveling resources
during or at the end of the Planning stage and for leveling through a single
project or several ones. Do you know of other tools or solutions on the
subject?
