Automatically link to contacts

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange The automatic linking of mail to contacts seems like a great feature. I've got it selected in preferences but nothing ever gets linked.

My setup:
- Exchange account
- Rule to automatically move e-mail off of exchange and into folder on my computer so when e-mail comes in it automatically gets moved.

Any help is appreciated.
