Automatically opening a slide minimized

I'm building "drill-down" slides hyperlinked to a master slide show.

Is there a way to get the hyperlinked slide to open minimized rather than
full screen when the hyperlink is activated?

How about a way to resize a slide to less than full screen?

Either will work for my purposes.
