automatically process tasks updates

Hi is there anyway to automatically process a task update sent by another
user in outlook 2003. I have to keep opening them before they update on my
machine

i ve tried using a rule to mark as read any new emails with the word 'task'
in the subject, though it makes the email as read when it arrives it still
doesnt update the task list until i open the email, after which it updates
the task list and disappears

I ve also tried leaving the task update email in my mailbox hoping it will
automatically update - but that doesnt work either

Any help!!

I think you have to open each to enable Outlook to suck the data out of the
email. I know that's a bit of work, but it's the only way I've found.
