Automatically running a Macro

NB First posted in general questions:
I have made a macro which will change the bar format depending on a text
value from a drop down list. Works great, and I have added a button to my
toolbar to activate the macro. Is there a way that I can make the macro
change the bar as i add the text value rather than clicking the macro button
after I have made all my changes?

You can make code occur after any standard event. Like Project Save or
Project Publish, I think you could do it on project recalculate as well but
that might be too much.

Sorry I do not quite understand, can it be done and how could I do it - I
have very little knowledge of VBA
