Automatically update imported data

I have 1 excel report that has 18 separate external data
sources, this report then is used to create a statistic
report.

At present all the reports are pasted into the Excel
report then referenced.

Is there a way to update this report automatically keeping
the data external but always updating if the sources
change..( once a month)?

If the external data sources are also spreadsheets, you
may try the method described below in "referenceing cells

Saw that response but will not work ,
the data is from dimension cubes *.PPR
(Cognos Powerplay report )
