I have created a set of two files; one Excel spreadsheet and one Word
document. Several different parts from the Excel spreadsheet are linked to
the Word document, with automatic updates. Different people copy these two
files to use them in their projects, i.e. fill data in the Excel spreadsheet
and then update the Word report and print it (with some other stuff added).
When I first open the Excel spreadsheet and then the Word document, and hit
yes for updating the links, the Word document will redirect its links to the
open spreadsheet (name unchanged), which is what I want. However, this only
works for most of the linked objects but not for a few of them. I checked the
field codes and they're all identically structured, so no help there. Anybody
has a solution for this problem? I would very much appreciate!
Thanks a lot.
