Automatically Wrap Text at x Characters Option doesn't work

It appears that the "Automatically wrap text at xx characters" option in
Outlook 2003 (Tools-->Options-->Mail Format, Internet Format).

Our organization uses the MajorDomo listserver, and while Outlook 2000 has
performed well, we are having issues with Outlook 2003, as it's adding line
breaks at 72 characters, no matter what we set the above setting to.

I found a MS KB article explaining that the problem existed in Office XP
pre-SP3, so I wonder if the problem exists in Outlook 2003.

Already tried that link, and specifically
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=823921 . Reg Hacks didn't work. I think
Outlook 2003 when connecting to Exchange doesn't follow these settings...

Since Exchange is involved, you might want to ask on the
microsoft.public.exchange.clients group.
