re: Word 2004
I'm working on a large Word document on both a PowerBook G4 12" and a
PowerMac G5 with a 23" Apple Cinema Display. I keep the document on a
USB flash drive, so it's just a matter of plugging the drive into
whichever system I happen to be using at the time.
If I've been working on the document on the PowerBook and subsequently
open it on the G5, the document window opens to the size it was on the
Powerbook, filling only a small portion of the screen. Clicking the
green maximize button resizes the window so that it fills the screen
from top to bottom, but that means that only the left 1/2 or so of the
document is visible (the zoom setting is set to 200%, due to the size of
the screen), so either way I have to manually resize the window. It
seems to zoom to what *would* be the size of the page if the Zoom
setting was 100%, not 200 (if I use the maximize button and then change
zoom to 100%, the entire page is visible, though unreadably small).
I suppose that when the document is opened on the Powerbook, it's
automatically resized to fit the smaller screen. For the desktop system,
is there a way to automatically resize the document window when it opens
so that it extends the entire height of the screen *and* all of the text
is visible?
