Im using Outlook 2000, but my email account is pop3. The problem is that I get called in to meetings by people on a different network segment using exchange. When these requests come in, I have to manualle type them into my calendar. Is there a patch, a plugin or an update that will recognize these requests and automaticly add them to my calendar

So they come in as a regular email instead of a meeting request it may be
because of a bug in Outlook 2000 check out
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823199 to see if it applies

Yes - They arrive as standard email. Thank you for the link - but the discription of the issue there does not really sound familiar. The people sending me the requests does not send from Outlook 2002 or newer, but Outlook 2000. We alle use Outlook 2000 - the only difference is that I'm not connected to the exchange server that they are. I simply use pop3 mail. Outlook 2003 (wich i have at home) recognizes the mails as meeting requests and adds them to my calendar - Outlook 2000 her at work does not. Do you still think the patch you refered to is what I need? It also seems that I have to contact microsoft to get it.

One way to test it is for them to send you a meeting request with the
reminder field left unchecked, also have them check that your Contact
information is set to Rich Text format
