Automating change case

Windows MS-Word allows you to toggle between lower case and capitals using Shift-f3. This is usefully quick but on the Mac it takes a mouse journey to Format>Change Case>Select case which is cumbersome.

Can I create a keyboard shortcut equivalent to the Windows on?

Hi Davey -

I don't mean to be a Smart A‹, but have you actually tried Shift+F3 or are
you just "assuming" that it won't work on a Mac? You might be [pleasantly]
surprised if you do try it. It's possible that something you have set in OS
X (ie Exposè) has usurped the stroke so if it doesn't work try:

Command+Option+C

If *neither* work there is a problem to be corrected so post back if that's
the case.

You might take a moment to look at Word Help on the subject of:

Word keyboard shortcuts

And you may find this article useful:

In direct answer to your question, though, on a Mac you can
add/remove/reassign keystrokes for almost anything you can do in Word :)

DOh . . . it works

It certainly didn't work a month or so ago and, yes, I have fiddled around a lot with Expose before giving up on it as just a nuisance!

Helpful article referenced too.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

No problem - and welcome to the group. Give a shout if you need anything
more.
