automating mail merge in script or code samples

Anybody know where to find some code or script examples for automating mail
merge with Word?
Basically I'm interested in creating a custom mail-merge like application in
c#. I have a custom .doc or .dot file, set up like a form (that a customer
will fill out on paper after its been printed), and I want to add text
(retrieved from a database or web service) in
one particular section of the form, either a field or addressblock or
textbox (or
other, not sure what to do). It would be nice for some c# samples, but any
code or script in any language will be greatly appreciated.

I would
a. look at http://www.mvps.org/word, which has some code, but the links to
online magazine articles are probably more useful in this particular area,
if you can find the articles.
b. search using the groups tab at http://www.google.com . But in this case
I'm not sure exactly what I'd search for.

There probably aren't many c# samples in this area yet but I would have
thought well-written VB(A) examples are probably almost as useful.
