Automating mail merge

I need to run mail merge automatically, but when running a macro using the TransferText Action, the macro fails as "Database or Object is Read-Only"
Mail merge runs fine using the wizard, but I need it to run form a macro. Any ideas what is causing this failure

I am having this same problem with Access XP. It worked fine in Access 97,
but now that I have converted, I am having the same error.

All my patches are up to date
(OS: Windows XP)
