Automating the "Updates" of tasks changes submitted by users

Hi:
I am using Project Server 2003. Everytime resources fill their timesheet, I
get updates, which I need to approve and explicitely click on "Update" button
to reflect them in the MPP.

I would like to avoid this, by default whenever resources make changes, they
should be considered as approved. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks,
Sandeep Mahalle

The closest you can come to automating this process is to create one or more
Rules on the Updates page in PWA. You must still click the Run Rules Now
button to apply these rules to your updates. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the inputs.
What I need is that I don't wan't to click on "Update" button. Whenever
tasks are updated, they should get reflected automatically in the plan
without need of accepting and then updating them.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Dale,

This forum is here to assist others in regards to MS Project, not to insult
someone who is simply asking a question. Stay humble, we all could learn
something, maybe even some tact.

Sandeep,

I'll try and be a little more helpful than the previous response. There are
other ways of accomplishing this, It just takes thinking a little outside the
Project Server box. It's not clean, but we've followed the example from
following post in this forum titled "Macro to Automate Update Project
Progress", take a look and see if this helps. I hope you find a solution.
