automation in adding class to class diagram

i'm new babe in visio vba.
I have to create diagrams that contain a lot of classes, class definition is
in excel file. I just want to create macro/addon to add class to UML model
programmatically.
Automation in Visio is just for general shape, not for class diagram, right?
Please give me some hints.

Because my data is in excel file, not in code,
i can not do that way.

I wish visio has API, like excel OLE object,
so that in class diagram, I can add/remove class/property/method
programatically.
