Automation question

I'm working on a VB.NET project using Word as an automation server. It's
running as a hidden process and I need to find a way to prevent prompts from
displaying; for example, if a document loads with a fillin merge field.

I've worked on this in past versions of Word where the only solution I could
work out involved using a complicated process monitor that used Win32 API
callls to watch out for those windows appearing and then close them
unceremoniously.

I'm hoping there might be a more elegant solution to this in Word 2002 or
the .NET framework in general.

Hi Peter,

Word isn't designed for use as an unattended server this way, and MS
recommnds avoiding its use in that fashion for both technical and legal
reasons. More details here.
