Hello;
I am trying to create a template Word document to print a report to it using
automation, but with out much luck. Can someone help me?

I don't think you can use a Report, per se, with a Word Template, via
automation or otherwise. You can, of course, use automation to create a Word
document in lieu of using a report. There's no newsgroup, specifically, on
access with automation -- so I'd suggest
microsoft.public.office.developer.automation as a start.
