I took Microsoft "Best Friday Deals" on Black Friday and now own
Office:mac 2004 Student & Teacher Edition. (I have not yet installed
it as Office X is still doing what I need.) My question has to do with
the second part of the deal: Deciding on which option to get for the
Microsoft(R) Office 2008 for Mac Special Media Edition.
They both include the basic products in Office 2008, but Option 1
includes "1 license for business or personal use, also includes
Exchange Server support , additional Automator Actions plus Microsoft
Expression Media for Mac" whereas Option 2 includes "3 licenses for
home or non-commercial use only; does NOT include Exchange Server
support or Automator Actions) + Microsoft Expression Media for Mac."
On the one hand getting 3 licenses would permit me to install it on my
Mac Mini and my MBP and still have another license if I ever get
another Mac, but doesn't have "Automator Actions" (Exchange Server is
of no use to me). Option 1 gives me just the one install, but includes
"Automator Actions."
Sorry for the long prelude: What are Automator Actions? I can't seem
to find out exactly what they are and whether they'll be important to
me.
Thank you in advance for any enlightenment on this issue.
