Autonumber reset

I have a fairly large database with with one of the tables having +- 100,000
records. This database is on a server and about 15 people working on it
simulateous.

Somehow the autonumber resets itself and starts from 300,000 thus wanting to
create a duplicate record. I get a error message stating that the record
cannot be added due to this duplication error. When I delete the index and
create it again it works fine for a while, then suddenly resets again?

Is there is setting to prevent this from happenning?

You can use ADOX to set the Seed of the AutoNumber directly.
