I receive lengthy Word documents from a variety of
people. The documents have outlining created, apparently,
in a variety of ways. I need to edit the content of the
documents. Even with autoformatting features turned off, I
spend countless hours wrestling with the simplest
formatting tasks. As an attorney, acurate outlining is
crucial. Sometimes more time is spent overcoming Word's
automatic guesstimate of what the format should be than
the actual content editing.
Is there a way to "freeze" the formatting as if it had
been created manually and then edit the content, doing my
formatting manually?
