Autonumbering in a Protected Word document

I believe that I have the code all accurate in the template & I'm getting an
VB error on line "Open FileToOpen For Input as #1". Any thoughts to this?
I'm using 2003. A preemptive thanks to any who care to offer their kind 2
cents. Michaelcip

Hi,

Your posting is a little vague, if you're hitting an error on that
particular peice of coding then I would check that the file your opening for
input a) exists and b) is not locked by any other process running on your
computer.

Why are you opening a file for input since your question is about numbering
in a protected form?

So sorry, I had posted this question off of an existing thread (that would've
clarified everything), but can no longer find the post (& deleted the form I
was working on). Will have to revisit this @ a later date. Thanks for
responding & best of luck to you, Michael (I wish I woulda' thought of the
name "spunkymuffmonkey"...)
