Autorecover loses "Undo" options

In Excel 2002, when I have my "autorecover" options
enabled for 10 minutes (default) I will lose my "undo"
options every time the "autorecover" trigger is fired.
How can I continue to use the "autorecover" option and
still retain my "undo" options?
