Autorun a presentation

Jim

I am trying to run a powerpoint presentation automatically from a CD
but the links within the presentation do not work. I link to some pdf
files and also a second presentation contained on the CD. I open the
pp viewer/presentation in the autorun.inf via open=ppview32.exe
AXI_CD_V1.ppt. If I excute ppview32.exe directly, everything works
fine. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Am I missing some switches?

Hello Jim,

This is a common problem, and one actually resolved in PPT 20003's new 'pack
and go.' The problem stems from the fact that PPT makes a hard link to the
external items (ie. C:/mydocuments/etc.) and running from the CD it is still
looking for that exact location. The easiest solution is to use RNRs Fix
Links Pro (http://www.rdpslides.com/pptools/FAQ00035.htm) which changes all
of your links to "relative links."
