Autorun CD

I downloaded the Launch.ext application and it worked great until I tried to PACKAGE TO CD (PowerPoint2003)
Got message box indicating that PowerPoint Viewer does not support running programs.

button would be linked via Action Settings > Run and paste in

That's right. Launch.exe won't work any longer if you are using the new
Viewer, and Package for CD uses the new Viewer. You would need to create a
BAT file to run launch.exe and then link to the BAT file via Action Settings

Hyperlink > Other file.

I have never written a BAT file. Do you have any tips on how to write one?

Open NotePad and create a text file with a .bat file extension and named
whatever you want, e.g. launch.bat. The file would contain one line with
the launch.exe command line. For example:

launch.exe open abcdef.xxx

where abcdef.xxx is the file you want to open. Once you have saved the
file, double check to be sure that it is named launch.bat and not
launch.bat.txt.

Then in PowerPoint, use Action Setting > Hyperlink and link to launch.bat.

Hint:

From notepad, do File, Save As and choose Files of Type: All *.*

Then the chuzzlewitted thing won't tack spurious .TXT extensions onto your
file names.
