AutoSave Error - Speech - Alternative Input - Recent Writing Table

I get the following error when the program autosaves after a recent addition
of a WACOM writing tablet. Word and the tablet work fine otherwise.

"The data was saved, but the data for speech recognition was lost because
there was not enough to store it. Be sure to turn off the microphone when you
are not recording, and check the available storage space on the disc."

I was not using speech recognition. The microphone is off (control
panel?).There is no microphone connected. XP, Word 2003.

Wild guess is maybe it's enabled as an alternate input? remove it in
Control Panel, Region and Language Option, Languages, Details, Speech.

It is not enabled as an alternative input. But I could have removed it in
the heat of battle. What does work is: Word - tools - options- save - O
"include linguistic data"
