Autoshape won't work on Connecting Lines in Styled Organization Ch

I'm working away on Microsoft Office Specialist Study Guide 2003 and have run
into a problem I can't get past.

I create an organization chart, autoformat it to a style, select all
connecting lines, go to Format > Autoshape, and the Colors & Lines tab is
greyed out and uneditable.

The book clearly tells me I can edit the line color and the arrow style
after I have set the organization style.

I notice that it is possible to edit the above when the style is set to
default but again, the book is very clear it is possible to do both.

I am using MS Office 2003 Pro on a Windows 200 Pro system reading MS Office
study guide Office 2003 edition.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated, I'm sure we all know how frustrating
it is when you run into a brick wall with these Tutorial books.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?R2Fycnk=?=,

I'm not familiar with this book, but try deactivating "AutoLayout" in the Layout
menu on the Organization Chart toolbar.
