Hi Tony,
You didn't mention the version of Word you're using.
In Word 97 and Word 2000
the active connectors are only 'live' if you use MS Draw 97/98.
For Word 97 it's a download from
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/CD010226221033.aspx?iStartAt=11
For Word 2000 it's an optional install item from CD#1 from
MS Works Suite, or from CD #2 in MS Office 2000. You can
use Insert=>Picture=>New Drawing or Insert=>Object=>MS Draw 98
to create a drawing canvas to hold your flow chart.
Starting with Word 2002(XP) MS Draw Add-in was replaced
by the built in MS Office Drawing Canvas
(Insert=>Picture=>New Drawing)
If you've already created your flowchart you can cut/paste
or drag the autoshapes onto the drawing canvas to work with
it there.
=========
I'm trying to use the flowchart autoshapes and connect them with Connector
Lines. No problem with the flowchart autoshapes, but the connector lines are
"grayed out" and unavailable. What can cause this?>>
