Autoshapes printing borders

When using Word 2002, I have created several autoshapes with text.
I have specified in the properties of the autoshape to not print
borders, but still get a black border half the times I print the
documents.
I have specified a white border (no fill) and usually the autoshapes
have a couple of sides of the autoshape print with a border.
It is very erratic.

Please help. What can I do to ultimately remove these borders?
I have done a detect and repair. I have updated the program.
It just does not act in the way it is intended.

I take it you added the autoshapes from the drawing toolbar. Just select
line color from the drawing toolbar and select white (the color of your
printer paper). That's it. No more borders on the autoshapes.

I forget to mention that you must first click on the autoshape then select
the line color.
