Autosum column in Word 2000

Barney

I can sum a column by putting zero in the blank cells,
then clicking on a cell below, and depressing the autosum
icon.

What I want to do is have blank cells of the amount is 0
and only fill in the pertinent cells and then be able to
autosum.

Can someone tell me how to accomplish this? in Word 2000?

Thanks.

The short answer is you can't as the {=SUM(ABOVE)} function stops at an
empty cell.
You will have to address the range of cells instead eg to add the first ten
cells in column A
{=SUM(A1:A10)}
