Select the text you want to create an AutoText entry from. Then Alt+F3 and
type a name for the AutoText entry (you can also do this through Insert |
AutoText | AutoText. To insert the AutoText, you can type the first few
letters of the name (until you get the AutoComplete tip), then press Enter
or Tab, or you can type the entire name and press F3 (or again, you can use
Insert | AutoText and select it from the menu).

I'm using Word 2000. I have autotext, but I can't turn in on. When I use
alt+F3, nothing happens! What should I do? I scrolled through all the
commands I can find in the customize an options menus, but can't figure it
out.
