Autotext in Footer shows Page 0 of 1

I have created a template with an Autofomat of page X of Y
in the footer. When I open the document on my computer,
the page number says page 1 of 1. When I open it from
another workstation the numbering becomes page 0 of 1 and
nothing I can do changes this.
Can you please advise where the problem is and what I can
do to remedy this.
