Autotext in word 2003

We just upgraded from office 2000 sp3 to office 2003 sp2 and we see autotext
entries, but the F3 key shortcut does not work. We check the show
autocomplete suggestions box. The only way to insert the text is using a
mouse. Is microsoft no longer using the F3 key for auto text entries ?

I did read the help, but the F3 key does not work.

First the F3 key still works in Word 2003. What happens when you press
it? Is the entry you are typing valid? Do you get an error message at
the bottom of the window? If no response to the F3 key at all, what is
the condition of the PC. Malware installed, keylogger prhaps?
