How do I transfer my autotext entries from my old computer (running ME) to my
new computer (running XP)?

The Autotext entries in Word are contained in the .DOT
template files (Normal.dot as default). You can transfer
the templates or extract the items using a utility to
reapply them. What version of MS Office are on your old
and new computers?

My old computer is running Windows Millenium, my new computer is running
Windows XP. I'm using Microsoft word 2000 in both cases.

I'm using Office 2000 on both my computers. I've done as you suggested and
copied the normal.doc from the old to the new computer. Yet at least half of
my autotext entries were lost. There are still on my old computer, but I
just can
t seen to transfer them to my new one.

I have tons of medical information stored in those autotexts, and it would
be at least one day's work re-entering them. It's been taking at least the
same amount of time trying to figure out how to transfer them.

HELP, please.
