Autotext variables

I use form letters that are created using autotext. These
letters have variables for names, dates, etc. An input box
comes up for each variable in the letter. I would like to
write a macro that would enter values automatically. eg.
year = 2003. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Bill,

Are these FILLIN and/or ASK fields?

If they are, you macro could change the field code to add or
change the /d default text. The tricky part would be making
sure this is done before the display of the fields is
triggered. I suspect you'd need to lock the fields before
creating the AutoText entry, then use the macro to make the
changes, unlock the fields, and update them...
