AutoText

I have Windows XP Home on a new Gateway Laptop. I installed Word 2000. When
I go to use AutoText for filename and path, or page # of #of pages I get the
words "filename and path" or "Page # of # of pages" instead of the filename
and path of the document I am working on.

Anybody have any ideas

Try selecting them and pressing F9 - these are fields and they may need to be update

Alt-F9 toggles between displaying all field codes and displaying field
results.
