Autotext

Hi. When I try to use autotext in headers/footers (things like page numbers,
filenames, dates, etc) the "Insert Autotext" option is greyed out: there
isn't any Autotext top select. Can anyone thell me how to restore this
feature?

Chances are that you've overwritten your normal.dot template with a
different template that doesn't contain any AutoText. See
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm for
instructions on recovering a default normal.dot.
