AutoText

Hi I have created some AutoText entries example: Name address etc These all
seem to collect in the Insert menu - Autotext - Normal. Is there anyway that
I can move these entries to another area in the AutoText menu ie: Salutation
instead of Normal - where are they stored on the system? I am an IT Trainer
in Word MOS Expert so I do not have much knowledge of what goes on in the
background - events etc.. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this
matter.

Many thanks

What you want to do is actually quite simple. :)

Unless otherwise specified, AutoText entries are stored in Normal.dot.
The fact that they display under AutoText/Normal has nothing to do
with location - it's the style that was applied to the text when the
AutoText entry was created.

The AutoText/Normal menu displays AutoText entries created using the
Normal style. So if you want an AutoText entry to show up under
AutoText/Salutation then make sure a style named Salutation is applied
before creating the AutoText entry.
