AutoTextList Update Disappeared

I edited/updated an AutoText entry used in an AutoTextList. It then
disappeared from the list. How do I get it back or re-add it to the list?

My guess is that you recreated it in some style other than the one used in
the list.

Is there a way to view the styles I've created? If I could somehow see the
autotextlists and their associated styles, it would take the guesswork out of
trying to edit them when I have to update an autotext entry.

Also, part of this document uses text boxes and I cannot protect the
document - the protect pane is greyed out. I tried inserting a continuous
section break but it doesn't help.

When you click in the AutoTextList field then look at the Styles box or the
Styles and Formatting task pane, the style that is selected is the one that
is applied to the entries in your list.

You may be unable to protect the document if it contains controls from the
Control Toolbox. If that's the case, it sounds like you're trying to mix
several different types of form-type objects.
