Have a client with a word template has a code in the wasn't familar with,
figured it had to do with autotext somehow, but wasn't a form field, finally
tried the toggle for field codes and found the code - AUTOTEXTLIST
Found a site that refers to how this works -
http://www.computorcompanion.com/LPMArticle.asp?ID=184
{ AUTOTEXTLIST "Right click here..." \t "ERB Addresses" \* MERGEFORMAT }
Computers have been refreshed to Vista/Office Excel 2007, and this works in
one template but not the other, and can't figure out how to get it to work.
Was able to get access to word 2003 copy the missing auto text from one
template to the other and now it works in word 2007. Figured it had to be an
issue with how word 2007 now stores autotext in the building block, wish they
left it in the normal.dotm make life much simpler for us.
But client is now asking they want to create more different ones, but can't
figure out how to do this in Word 2007, found instructions for only word 2003
online.
Drop down lists using form codes not working, as currently when selects the
option it fills in a full footer for bottom of letter head office name and
location address, and numbers. Autotext great for storing that much
information, but can't figure out how to create this drop down list selection
in Word 2007 and have it work like it does in Word 2003.
