Hi All!
It is my understanding that at some point Microsoft stopped providing client
updates and only admin updates are available for download now. For example,
both Office2003SP2-KB887616-Fullfile-ENU.exe and
Office2003SP2-KB887616-Client-ENU.exe were available at SP2 release, while
only Office2003SP3-KB923618-FullFile-ENU.exe is available now. But I have a
feeling it was going on well before SP3 release. Is my observation correct?
If yes, when did they start doing this (e.g. is there a page that officially
states so)? If not, could you please point me to the client file?
The reason I'm asking is that the client updates were smaller and it was
easier to download them (lots of people still have dial-up, duh and chain
to the Office installation with setup.ini.
Thanks for your time and attention to my question!
