Avalability word options

When I open Word 2007 and try to use the Word options, only the "popular
options" are available. I cannot select the other options. I am using Vista
as operating system.

Sounds like your trial version has expired. Are you able to open, edit,
create and save documents?

Thanks for the reaction.
I am not using a trial version. The problem started when the last automatic
updates were installed for Vista and office 2007 (beginning of october).
I am still able to open,edit, create and save the documents. There is 1
exeption: when I try to open an attached word document from a mail message by
double clicking, the Word program starts but does NOT open the document. When
I save the same document and open it afterwards in Word, the document is
opened. This seams to be a known problem (on iternet I found several
messages) but I did not find a solution.
