Averages

P

Pam

I want to calculate the average while ignoring ceratin
cell entries.
For example:
I'm calculating the average in range B7:M7
In cell B7 is --
In cell C7 is 0
In cell D7 is 0
In cell E7 is --
Range F7:M7 is empty

I want to calculate the average - at this
point it would be 0%

Hi Pam,

Your question is a bit off topic as this newsgroup is for Word, not Excel,
but the formula you need is

=SUM(B7:M7)/COUNT(B7:M7)

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
