I'm using Word 2003. When I use the scroll buttons (or Synaptics
virtual scrolling) to scroll the footnote window, the main document
window changes positions. I would like the main window to stay put
(except when I click on a footnote). Can this be done?
I know that if I click on the footnote number in the footnote window,
the main document window changes position to the location of that
footnote. That's even better than changing positions when I click in
the text of the footnote. Unfortunately, the footnote window closes
immediately. Can this be avoided?
Thanks.
